This list aims to record, with critical and content notes on significant items, the material that is to be found on the collective biography of Spanish America. It does not claim to be exhaustive, since most of the items were taken from the card catalogues of the following libraries: the library of the Carnegie Endowment, the Columbia University Library, the Hispanic Society Library, the New York Public Library, the Library of Congress and the Puerto Rico University Library, and the rest from lists such as the following: British Museum.
