A Letter Home from a Jamaican in Cuba

Payman Johnston, Curtis, A Letter Home from a Jamaican in Cuba, Kingston: Socialist Party of Jamaica, 1963. [2 copies; pamphlet]

From the Postscript by S.P.J. President P.V. Lawson:
In this pamphlet we have published a letter from a talented young Jamaican who is at present studying engineering at Havana University. Curtis Payman Johnston was earning his living as a Machinist in a Kingston workshop and in his spare time was doing a bit of sculpture. He has some very talented work to his credit and is perhaps best known as the artist selected to do the bust of the Prime Minister.
