Acknowledegment:
The four photographs of the WOSUNA Research Institute (1 March 1964) and the inundation picture with two WOSUNA vehicles in the foreground (26 February 1964) were taken by Dr. P. Wagenaar Hummelinck. The three aerial photographs of the Surinam river and the Afobaka dam (28 February 1964) were kindly made available for reproduction by the ‘Centraal Bureau Luchtkaartering’, Paramaribo. The four photographs of the biology laboratory at Afobaka (February, 1964) were taken by Mr. J. van der Heide, and three inundation photographs (29 March 1964) by Dr. D. C. Geijskes. Mr. and Mrs. Thoden van Velzen (SU-476-3) presented four photographs pertaining to their research among the Djukas of Drietabbetje, Tapananhoni river (july 1962).
