Lilyan Kesteloot - Lilyan Fongang or Kesteloot - born in Brussels, is a Belgian researcher specialist in black African francophone literature, an area which she was a pioneer. Professor at the University Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD), then director of research at the Fundamental Institute of Black Africa (IFAN - founded in 1936 by Theodore Monod), she spent many years between Dakar and Paris, where she is lecturer at the University of Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV).
