In the first part… of this guide the tourist will find a comprehensive but concise introduction to Martinique. Should he wish to explore at greater length certain questions touched upon in this introduction, he will find a general bibliography at the end of the volume. The illustrations are designed to give him a clear picture of certain elements of the island’s plant and animal life.
